    The super rich aren’t getting taxed at 90 percent anymore like they were when Eisenhower was president. We need to bring this back now. Everyone was able to buy a home and have kids then.

    The question is incomplete. The issue is the population/economic growth as measured against the money supply. That's the only thing that matters when determining whether there will be/is widespread price inflation or deflation (not relative inflation or deflation).

    Inflation comes with equivalent market chance if you are early informed and well-equipped. I've seen folks on verified posts that turned millionaires amid economic downtrend, and pull it off easily in a favorable economy, it all boils down to proper asset allocation.

      well, self-taught not bad all ,but a lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until burnt by their own emotions, no offense. I remember 3 years ago, just after my awful divorce, I needed a good boost to keep my business afloat, hence researched for advisors at once. Thankfully, I came across one with grit, helped to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $350k to nearly $1m as of today.

    Pay increases tied to cost of living is structural inflation. The Fed printing money is structural inflation. Perpetual deficit spending by the federal government is structural inflation. I'll believe in the tooth fairy before I believe we'll ever experience deflation in the U.S, at least not in my lifetime.

    • @MBarberfan4life
      @MBarberfan4life 23 години тому

      Not many people have pay increases tied to the cost of living/price inflation. And even if they do get some pay increases every year, which would be the minority of people, the average person's purchasing power has been decreasing for a century. Wages are prices, and price inflation is the result of monetary inflation; same with the government running up their Federal Reserve credit card. The Fed printing money is not just structural inflation; it IS, necessarily, "inflation"---monetary inflation; it's an identity relationship.

    You should see the same charts for real income vs inflation or GDP. they capture the story even better in my opinion (especially the breakout in 1973). When we have recessions, power shifts from employees to employers and that basically never comes back result in lesser and lesser salary growths over all the following years - even if the economy comes back up.

    2 mins in and this guy is already making "electricity comes from the wall" levels of fallacies. The wealth is not the nominal values of the homes, IT IS THE HOMES THEMSELVES. A managed decline of nominal values is beneficial to china, as it frees up resources for other areas. This is a reflection of the problem we have in the US. When people are spending 50% of income on servicing housing instead of the historically normal 23%, thats 27% of all income that cannot go into actual productive investment like starting a business, building a factory, etc etc. The chinese used their housing bubble to overbuild housing, the same way the US used the DOTCOM bubble to build the modern internet.

    when you can't raise taxes for obvious political reasons, nor can you implement austerity measures, nor it is sustainable to finance growth through credit (China stops buying T-bonds, Japan is selling T-bonds, T-bond returns are a bad joke) then you resort to reducing the buying power of the currency. If all currencies move together and asset prices have been inflated anyway, then the rich didn't pay anything (corporate returns were actually a lot higher than the average of recent decades) then the masses were forced to pay a large sum of implicit tax... This is what is being described in this graph. While these policies might increase decent or the strengthening of radical movements, well implemented state oppression measures through police, secret services and paramilitary organization can actually solidify the power of ruling elites. In short modern democracies are controlled by corporate elites governing through economic rather than social policies.

    BTC can disregard techincals when in a bull, did that in 2020 when it crossed previous ATH... stayed there a few weeks and continued pumping like crazy to 60k. Also, there is one constant... when around 90 on monthly RSI, the end is near. And don't expect crazy price targets of 500k... expect around 100k at most and be happy if there's more after that. If you believe big boys and CEO's of big invesment firms saying targets like 1M this cycle.. you deserve to be their exit liquidity..It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady during trading...managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3B'tc to a decent 21B'tc in the space of a few months... Having kids isn't worthwhile since you can always import workers to run the economy from poorer nations. As long as you have saved enough for retirement you will be taken care of, additionally your own children won't be able to look after you despite their best efforts unless you have set them up for success either by having them graduate debt free or give them a hefty DP for a home. Its only gonna get harder to go uphill from here on since the people in charge of fiat are printing for political points. Using debt to service unnecessary programs to win elections instead of focusing on investing debt in productive efforts is not a good idea, the system will fail under its own weight. For every $1 of debt created we need more than $1 + interest in income, else we are heading for the edge of the waterfall.

Why not for their parents? Why not for their grandparents? Instead we have had 70 years of television brainwashed consumerism. Did John Maynard Keynes ever see a television commercial for automobiles? Try finding an economist who talks about the depreciation of durable consumer goods. But Karl Marx used the word 'depreciation' 35 times in the first two volumes of his major work. Planned obsolescence consumerism is a high technology form of slavery.
